Whilst most people are probably aware of what a virus is, Spyware and other related nasties are not as well known. Spyware and Adware can seriously affect the performance of your pc, and are often installed without your knowledge!
They usually appear on your computer from malicious websites, or through installing "free" programs. You may notice your homepage keeps changing, or you have toolbars you didnt install - these and more may well be caused by Spyware.

Spyware and Adware have, along with Popups, very rapidly become the single most annoying thing about using the internet, no matter what we do, something always manages to get past our defences

We use specialist pieces of software designed specifically to check your system for Viruses, Spyware, Adaware, Trojan Horses, and basically anything that shouldn't be on your computer or may be causing it to run slowly.
There are free programs available to download which will also check your system, but for the novice, these programs are somewhat daunting, and can infact can do more harm than good in inexperienced hands.
There are several ways to remove these problems and depending on the severity we will either be able to remove or repair the infected files, or if it is a more substantial problem it may be necessary to reinstall your computers operating system. We will endeavor to preserve any personal data such as emails, documents, pictures and addresses.
In the event of finding personal files that have been infected by a virus, or your system is too badly affected to restore, then you will be contacted prior to any further work being carried out (unless this was discussed previously).
